Plan doors, cylinders, key quantities and access groups for an office, hotel, holiday let or other managed premises. This is a planning proposal, not a final manufacturer keying schedule. R Locksmiths LTD can review the plan and confirm the final specification if you request a quote.
Add each door or lock location once, then add one or more lock specifications underneath it. Use Quantity for identical locks with the same format, finish and size; add another lock specification when the format, finish, size or fitting details differ. The planner shows only the sizing fields that apply to each selected format. Final dimensions and compatibility must be confirmed before a final specification is agreed.
Add each location once. Door / area is required and is used by the diagram and access/location totals. Add multiple lock specifications inside a location when one door or opening has different locks or different sizes.
For larger sites, Building, Floor / zone and Department / area are optional ways to organise locations. New locations reuse the previous row's grouping so you can add several doors quickly, and you can change any value at any time.
For a Master Key proposal, access is assigned to the door / lock location. All keyed locks listed under that location therefore share the proposed access assignments. Add a separate location only when the opening needs different access permissions.
Use familiar role names. R Locksmiths LTD can translate the proposal into the final change key, sub master, master or grand master architecture and confirm the final system design if you request a quote.
Tick the locations each key group should be able to open. Final keying feasibility and manufacturer compatibility must be confirmed by R Locksmiths LTD before any products are ordered or supplied.

Master Key System
This expanded view splits larger systems into readable colour coded diagrams while retaining every configured access group and lock location.

Measure from the centre fixing screw to each end and enter the outside side first. This is especially important when an anti-snap cylinder has an external sacrificial section. Planning range: 20-120 mm per measured side in 0.5 mm increments. For many keyed cylinder systems, the keyed-side range starts at 35 mm. A keyed side of 30 mm or below may not be compatible with the same system as 35 mm or larger sizes. Alternative arrangements may sometimes be possible, so contact us to discuss. If your measured size falls outside the planning range, add it to Notes for quote review.
